Mark Zuckerberg and Dr. Priscilla Chan announced the arrival of their third daughter on Friday. “Welcome to the world, Aurelia Chan Zuckerberg!” the couple wrote on Instagram. “You’re such a little blessing.”
Zuckerberg and his former Harvard University classmate previously welcomed daughters Max (7) and August (5) in 2015 and 2017.
Mark Zuckerberg has long been interested in Ancient Rome. Now he has his own triumvirate. The founder of Facebook on Friday announced the birth of his third child, revealing that he and his wife Priscilla Chan have named the child Aurelia.
Zuckerberg shared the first photo of his newborn in an Instagram post, calling him “a little blessing.”
In September, Zuckerberg announced on Instagram that he and Chan were expecting their third child together. He posted a photo of himself and his wife smiling as they hugged their growing baby, with the caption: “Lots of love. We are happy to announce that Max and August will have a new little brother next year!“
Zuckerberg and Chan first met in 2003 while waiting in the bathroom at a Harvard University party. They tied the knot in a secret wedding at their home in Palo Alto, California. Wedding guests said the party was meant to celebrate Chan’s graduation from medical school, where he trained to become a doctor. In December 2015, the couple welcomed their first child together, daughter Maxima “Max” Chan Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg announced their daughter’s birthday in a Facebook post, revealing that 99 percent of the parents’ Facebook shares will be donated to the new Chan Zuckerberg Initiative to “advance equality for all children” in the next generation.
