Brianna Ghey murder; A 15-year-old boy, Girl have been arrest on suspicion of murder after a 16-year-old girl died in a Warrington park.
Brianna Ghey was find by members of the public at Linear Park in Culcheth, Cheshire on Saturday.
Emergency services were call shortly after 3pm after he was find lying on a footpath with multiple stab wounds. The woman was pronounce dead at the scene.
The arrest teenagers are from the area and are being held in a detention center.
Cheshire Chief Constable Ch Supt Mike said a number of inquiries were ongoing and police were trying to establish the “exact circumstances” of her death.
“At this time, there is no evidence that the circumstances of Brianna’s death are hate-relate,” he said.
“Security patrols have been increase in the area and officers will remain in the Culcheth area to provide reassurance and address any concerns residents may have.
Brianna Ghey murder; Police previously said an autopsy was underway to determine the cause of death and officers were supporting Brianna’s family, from the nearby town of Birchwood.
They said police were continuing to search for the killer weapon and determine a motive for the attack.
More police are patrolling the area, which is a well-known dog-walking spot.
