SCRY Artic PS5 Cooler Evaluation. Let me begin by lowering your expectations. If you’re searching for a highly technical evaluation, check elsewhere. I don’t have the equipment that other tech reviewers do. I lack thermal imaging cameras, infrared thermometers, benchmarking tools, and other tools. If you’re seeking for precise The SCRY Artic Is a New Plug-and-Play Cooling temperature readings, I’m afraid I can’t help you.

Personally, I don’t think that’s such a big deal.

The folks who will buy and use this cooler are likely to be the same as me. Consider this a layman’s review, one that anyone, not just techies, will understand and appreciate. After all, what counts is whether or not the cooler works. After that, let’s get started on our review.

Specifications for SCRY Artic.

Let’s begin with the cooler’s specifications. The SRY Artic PS5 cooler features six high-speed Hyperfluid Fans that can spin at up to The SCRY Artic Is a New Plug-and-Play Cooling 10,000 RPM.
Three of these fans are significantly larger than the others, and for good cause. The cooling fan is positioned at the back of the PS5, with the power wire, HDMI port, and two USB ports.
The three larger fans are located above the ports, while the smaller fans are located alongside them. This allows for unrestricted access to certain ports.
Of course, not all of these ports will be accessible because the cooler must be plugged into one of the USB ports.
Fortunately, the cooler includes a SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.0) connector. This allows players to use the USB port even when the cooler is mounted.
Six supporters may appear to be a lot, and they may also The SCRY Artic Is a New Plug-and-Play Cooling appear to be boisterous. Fortunately, it isn’t. The SCRY Artic, according to its creators, measures at less than 40 dBA, which is called “quiet library sounds.”
Fans are barely visible, if at all. You won’t notice it if you’re listening to music or wearing earphones while playing a game.
Finally, the fan’s Lamella design mechanism provides the fan with a huge surface area. This aids in the dispersion of heat within the PS5 internals.

Reading at the Beginning.

To adequately assess the fan’s performance, I chose to play without it at first. To truly test the PS5, I opted to play Final Fantasy XVI, which has resulted in overheating for numerous players.

I played the game for around six hours straight, pausing just to touch my PS5. This may not appear to be the most accurate temperature measurement, but it is likely v that most people would see how hot their console is in this manner.

Upon closer inspection, I saw that approximately 1/4 or 1/3 of the PS5 was heating up. It was warmest at the back, where the fans released the hot air from the console.

It began to cool off as I moved from the back to the front. As previously stated, around one-fourth to one-third of the PS5 was hot. This was the starting point for my comparison with the SCRY Artic PS5 Cooler.

Installation

It was time to install the fan itself after I had obtained my baseline “reading.” It is really simple and straightforward to install.

The fan had two protrusions at the top that fit into the holes near the top of the PS5. It doesn’t appear to hit anything it shouldn’t, and it primarily helps to hold the fan in position.

After inserting the two protrusions, the USB port on the v interior of the fan was plugged into the suitable slot. It took a few tries for me to get it in, but once I did, it snapped into place immediately.

As previously said, the fan’s design still allowed me access to all of the other connections, allowing me to effortlessly reconnect the wires and cables.

What I enjoy best about the fan’s design is that if I didn’t know any better, I’d think it was originally part of the PS5.

Performance Evaluation

To fully compare the fan, I played for the same amount of time as I did without the fan, which was approximately six hours.

I decided to halt the game after six hours to check on both the PS5 temperature and the fan. I was truly startled by the results.

The SCRY Artic Is a New Plug-and-Play cooling system.

When I touched the sides of the PS5, I observed that they were cool to the touch, or at least not hot. Even when I made my way towards the back, it stayed cool.

I didn’t notice any heat until I got to the very back of the PS5. When it met with the SCRY Artic Cooler.

This was a significant improvement over not having a fan. It appeared that the majority, if not all, of the heat was concentrated at the back of the PS5.

Of course, it wasn’t magic. I felt all of the hot air escape when I placed my hand behind the PS5, directly in front of the fans. This was one of the first indications that the cooler was working properly.

The PS5’s inbuilt fans exhaust hot air from the system through the back. As a result, any cooling fan installed on the PS5’s rear must suck that air out and blow it away.

If the cooling fan blows air in, it will actually make your PS5 worse. Fortunately, the SCRY Artic works as designed. It was able to improve ventilation and swiftly remove heat from the console.
