California-born Alapag, a six-time PBA champion, served as an assistant coach with Sacramento’s G League club, the Stockton Kings.

He was born and raised in the US and started playing basketball in the Philippines in the 2000s.

He won six PBA championships with Talk ‘N Text and received numerous Most Valuable Player honors.

The former point guard has served as a coach with Gilas Pilipinas, San Miguel Beermen, and Meralco Bolts.

In 2020, Alapag traveled back to the US to carry on his coaching career.

The former PBA MVP and Gilas Philippines captain worked as Bobby Jackson’s assistant coach with Sacramento’s G League club Stockton Kings prior to joining the Kings’ staff.

His career as a coach actually began in the Philippines, where he worked as the Gilas assistant coach, as well as for Meralco and the San Miguel Beermen in the PBA.

The former TNT All-Star guard also served as the Asian Basketball League head coach for San Miguel. Once the ABL season was canceled due to the global epidemic, he decided to relocate to the States.
