Eight people dead in South Africa; Eight people were kill. Three others injure after two gunmen entered a house. Opened fire on a group of people celebrating a birthday at a home in South Africa on Sunday night. The South African Police Service (SAPS) said.

The shooting took place in the southern port city of Gqeberha, formerly Port Elizabeth. An investigation has been launch and police are searching for the two unidentified attackers, police spokeswoman Priscilla Naidu told AZ24 News.

According to an announcement from SAPS, the owner of the house is among the dead.

Three women and four men were among the dead, police said, adding that no arrests had been made.

According to Police Minister Bheki Cele and the South African Police Service (SAPS), General Fannie Masemola will lead a delegation of various experts from within the agency to the scene on Monday.

South Africa has seen an increase in gun crime and a separate mass shooting in the past year.
